3. ROUTE OF CIRIO OF NAZARE
The Cirio of Nazare is one of the most beautiful catholic processions of the world that occurs
on the second sunday of october for over two centuries. Gathers annually about two million
pilgrims on a journey of faith through the streets of Belem, a grand spectacle in honor of the
Mother of Jesus.
DESCRIPTION OF THE TOUR: Visit to sites that are part of the unique moment that
happens in Belem: Cirio de Nazaré. Visit the Ver-o-Peso fair to know the ingredients of the
main regional dishes that are served at lunch. Visit the Metropolitan Cathedral where the
procession starts, the Candle Museum, Historical Museum of Pará, Plácido’s House and
Basilica of Our Lady of Nazareth, where he will attend a Mass. At the end, we will have lunch
with the option to enjoy a duck with tucupi
