2. BELÉM OF ALL SENSES

DESTINY DESCRIPTION: Belém of Pará is located on the northern region of Brazil,
is known as the "The Metropolis of Amazon." Knowing Belem is interacting with the
culture, the history, the nature and local customs.

In this tour, we can stimulate our senses through smell, sight, taste, touch and
hearing, through the smells of Pará, fish, fruits, spices, the famous herbs, colonial
buildings and the belle-époque, songs and their contagious rhythm.

LOCATION: Belem and Icoaraci
PACKAGE AVAILABILITY: All year, except on anniversaries, holidays, year’s end and Cirio de
Nazaré.

DAY BY DAY

FIRST DAY

Arrival in Belem and transfer to hotel. At 04:30pm transfer to the terminal Estacao das
Docas forfor the river, walk departing at 05.30pm, with music and regional dances. After the
tour, we suggest dining at some of the excellent restaurants that are located at the Estação
das Docas.

SECOND DAY

In the morning, we will make a tour of the main tourist spots of Belem: the famous The Ver
- o-Peso (market, fairs and dock). This great outdoor market has scents and essences of the
Amazon jungl, exotic fruits and herbs, where we will do a tasting of acai and tucupi. Once
we know the Feliz Lusitania complex, which gathers rich architectural heritage from
museums, churches and places of exceptional quality. Visit the Museum of Gems of Pará and
São José Liberto Jeweller Pole, to contemplate the mineral wealth and the main crafts
produced in the region. Visit the Basilica Shrine of Nossa Senhora de Nazare, one of the
main symbols of religiosity in Para. Afternoon and evening free.

THIRD DAY

In the morning, departure for a glimpse of the Amazon rainforest located in the urban area
of Belem: Botanical Garden Rodrigues Alves, a large green space, with more than 2,000
trees, a nursery, animal nursery and pond, providing hiking and watching some of local fauna.
Visit the Village of Icoaraci – known as the largest center of ceramic production Marajoara
Tapajônica and Maraca, with visits to potteries and shops. Stop for lunch or snack. Evening
free.
